For those who haven’t read my previous post, I shared 4 learnings from LadyBossBlogger’s “Make Money As An Influencer” course that helped boost my confidence. Fast forward two weeks, and this confidence boost has helped me land some amazing PAID collaborations with great brands!

It’s All About Working Smarter not Harder!
Know and BELIEVE you AND your TIME are valuable!
I touched on this very important if not critical point briefly in my previous post about confidence!
LadyBossBlogger has taught me how to work smarter, not harder by simply determining my value.This one took some personal reflection to really realize the length of effort I was pouring into this business with minimal compensation in return. I find unless someone is in the thick of it doing this work, they will not understand the number of hours that go into creating good quality content and brand promotion.
As a result, oftentimes creators like myself can get taken advantage of for being over generous or simply not knowing their worth. I have to be honest, this was me. Thankfully the LadyBossBlogger course has helped to increase my sense of worth by growing comfortable in seeing the value of my efforts. Part of this discovery was also knowing how to communicate my value and established rates to brands and partnerships with confidence!
I am so grateful for LadyBossBlogger’s course to properly inform me of how to put a dollar sign to my work for fair compensation!
3 ACTION STEPS I IMPLEMENTED TO HELP ME LAND PAID COLLABS
1. Establishing My Rates
LadyBossBloggers course has helped me to know how to set rates for myself with consideration to the time and effort I put into content created for a brand.
If you’re anything like me, I truly had no clue how to calculate my rates per feed and story post, I didn’t even know where to begin. This is why I love how LadyBossBlogger shares different web pages and platforms that helped me find a compensation rate per feed post and story post that is unique to my page. For reference, these programs use your following count and your engagement rate to determine pricing.
2. Perfecting My Brand Pitch
After discovering my compensation rate the next task was to figure out how to professionally articulate this information to potential brands and partnerships! This means - having an effective pitch!
I was pretty confident in my pitch prior to taking this course - but LadyBossBlogger helped me to perfect it further by teaching me to include more of my qualitative stats in addition to the deliverables I can offer the brand as well as previous partnerships!
Stat e.g.’s to include:
Engagement rate
Audience insights
Monthly viewers
I also learned the importance of keeping the pitch as straightforward and concise as possible. Bigger brands don't necessarily have the time to read through the ‘fluff’ if you will.So it is good to keep it short, sweet, and effective.
3. Finding the Best Time to Reach Out and Sending That Email!
This step was not something that I had thought of prior to taking LadyBossBlogger’s course. I would just send my emails at whichever time or day was convenient for me - not realizing that there is a “better” time to reach out to increase the likelihood of you getting a response back! For instance, LadyBossBlogger shares that Monday is not the best time to send an email as brands are catching up from the weekend and yours could likely go unnoticed!
I feel that learning and applying these timing tips for email send outs in combination with the other action steps listed have truly benefited my overall success with the partnerships I have made! These action steps have given me the confidence and competence to land paid partnerships with brands like Tanceuticals, Brookfield Residential, and Teangle!
